My husband, Gary has recently retired from being a teacher for over 40 years. As any of you who have taught at the elementary level are well aware, creativity is mandatory!
I am so happy to share my website with my husband's gifts---he is truly an artist in his own right. Now that he is retired, he has the opportunity to experiment in all sorts of mediums and I wanted to share with all of you some of his current pieces.
I think you will find them thought provoking as well as beautiful.
Going Home
A good friend of ours passed away this week.
Gary created this painting 3 days later in a process where the results are left up to "chance" in a method where the artist doesn't see the result till it's all done. When I looked at this, I immediately saw the glorious procession toward our Lord when we breathe our last earthly breath and take our first heavenly one.
An "accident", a "coincidence"---I don't think so. Farewell Friend---till we see you again!

This is a 3 dimensional collage in which Gary used multiple types of texture and form to create a playful result which is also beautiful!
Metal Distraction
Everything in this collage could be found in your local hardware store---or your garage! Put them together with color and design and voila! It's art!
